LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The odds to win the AFC in 2015 have been released and the Denver Broncos aren’t favored to win as conference champions.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Patriots are 3/1 favorites to win the AFC in 2015, while the Broncos are 4/1 to repeat as conference champs. The Colts are 9/1 to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, while the Chiefs are 10/1 and the Bengals, Texans, Steelers and Chargers are all 12/1, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, the Ravens are 16/1 to win a conference title in 2015 while the Dolphins are 22/1 and the Broncos are 33/1. The Jets and Titans are also 33/1, respectively, while the Bills are 40/1 and the Jaguars and Raiders have the worst odds to win at 50/1, respectively.

The last team to repeat as AFC champions was the Patriots in 2004 and 2005. Since then, nine different teams have represented the AFC in the Super Bowl, including the Broncos last year. The Steelers have made the most appearances as AFC champs with eight, while the Patriots and Broncos have both represented the AFC in the Super Bowl seven times apiece.

Last year the Broncos opened as the favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl at 11/4 odds, while the Patriots were 3/1 and the Texans were 6/1. Denver and New England wound up playing in the AFC title game, while Houston fell to last place in the AFC South and finished with the worst record in the NFL.
