Sean Tucker announced Saturday that he will be opting out of the Pinstripe Bowl against Minnesota on Dec. 29 to begin preparing for the 2023 NFL Draft, Emily Leiker of Syracuse.com reports. Tucker will cap off his Syracuse career with back-to-back 1000-yard rushing seasons. He finishes the 2022 campaign with 206 carries for 1,060 yards and 11 touchdowns. It was also his second straight season scoring double-digit touchdowns. Tucker has shown what he's capable of at the college level and should expect to hear his name called when the draft rolls around in April.

Head coach P.J. Fleck said Wednesday that Tanner Morgan (upper body) has been cleared to play in Thursday's Pinstripe Bowl versus Syracuse, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Morgan, who missed each of the Golden Gophers' last three games to close out the regular season due to an upper-body issue, is now in line to reclaim his usual starting spot under center when Minnesota squares off against the Orange on Thursday. Across eight contests suited up for this year, the 215-pounder has completed 67.3 percent of his passes for 1,324 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions to go along with 32 carries for 63 more yards and four additional scores.
