Oklahoma Sooners Game Notes

Marcus Major (leg) will be unavailable for Oklahoma's bowl game Thursday, TJ Eckert of Tulsa's KTUL News reports. Major had tallied 56 carries for 227 yards and four touchdowns over eight games this season but saw a diminishing role towards the end of the season before missing the regular season finale against Texas Tech. Jovantae Barnes should be the lead back with Eric Gray sitting out to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Florida State Seminoles Game Notes

Jordan Travis announced that he will return to Florida State for his sixth collegiate season in 2023. Travis's decision to exercise his final year of eligibility will come following his career-best passing campaign in the 2022 regular season, completing 199 of his 315 for 2,796 passing yards and a 22:4 TD:INT ratio. While his usage as a rusher did take a slight drop off, going from 134 carries for 530 yards last season to 75 carries for 367 yards this season, he still logged seven rushing touchdowns for the third year in a row. Travis' return for his third season as Florida State's starting quarterback should help further bolster an offense that has found an identity in the running game over the second half of this regular season.
