Daniel Suarez is currently listed at +1200 to win today, followed by Austin Cindric at +1300. Ross Chastain and A.J. Allmendinger are both +1500, respectively, while William Byron is +1600. Other long shots include Michael McDowell and Kyle Busch at +2000, as well as Chase Briscoe at +2200.

Option 1: Chase Elliott (+350)
I know, I know: He’s favored. Elliott was also in line to become the first driver since Jeff Gordon to win at The Glen last year before his two-year streak was snapped. Mark Martin is the only other driver to win three straight at The Glen, as he won in 1993, 1994 and 1995. Hendrick Motorsports has also won the last three races at Watkins Glen and Chevrolet has won each of the four road course races in 2022, as well as the final six of 2021 for 10 straight wins on these tracks. He’s favored for a reason and should be in the mix when it’s all said and done.
Option 2: William Byron (+1600)
Byron is another Hendrick Motorsports team member and a Chevrolet driver, so he fits what was discussed in the Chase Elliott option. Three of the four road course races in 2022 have been won by a first-timer winner. In fact, six of the last 11 road races were won by a driver scoring their first or second win at that track. How many times has Bryon won at The Glen? That would be zero. That said, he finished sixth at The Glen last year and eighth at The Glen in 2018, so it’s a track he has had some relative success on.
Option 3: Kyle Larson (+500)
I know, I know: I’m not reaching here. I get it. That said, 10 of the last 11 winners at The Glen have started in the top 3 rows, including the last four from the top 2 rows. In fact, 15 of the last 17 winners have started in the top 10, which fits all three drivers listed. In the last 14 races on the season, 12 were won from the top 4 rows, including six of the last eight from the top 5. Did I mention that Larson won here last year? And that he races in a Chevy for Hendrick Motorsports? And that he has four top-10 finishes in his seven races at The Glen?
