José Altuve doubled and homered to help the Astros to a 7-2 victory on Wednesday in Game 2 of the World Series against the Braves. Altuve doubled to leadoff the game against Max Fried, and came around to score on a sac fly by Alex Bregman. He homered to begin the bottom of the seventh off Drew Smyly to extend the lead to 7-2 and help Houston even the series at a game apiece. Altuve now has 22 postseason homers, and that ties him with Bernie Williams for the second most in playoff history behind the 29 that Manny Ramirez picked up. The series now moves to Atlanta, with Game 3 taking place at Truist Park on Friday.
Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Travis d’Arnaud homered and scored two runs in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday in Game 2 of the World Series. The homer tied the game at 2-2 in the second inning, and he scored the second run for the Braves — and the last of the game for Atlanta — on Freddie Freeman’s RBI single. The homer is d’Arnaud’s first of the Fall Classic, and he still has yet to go deep at home in any game of the 2021 season. He’ll be behind the plate for Game 3 against the Astros in Atlanta on Friday.
