Oregon State redshirt sophomore QB Chance Nolan completed 12-of-18 passes for 90 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Saturday's 24-10 win against Arizona State. Nolan (6'3"/201) also ended up rushing for a score in the victory, the seventh of the season for the upstart Beavers. Oregon State moved to 5-3 in the conference, and it should be headed for a rather strong bowl regardless of what happens in the regular-season finale at Oregon next Saturday afternoon. Nolan had a rushing touchdown last season in limited action in his collegiate debut against Oregon on Nov. 27, 2020.

Per Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal will be the top candidate for the Miami job if they move on from head coach Manny Diaz. Feldman confirmed what we all thought would be the case. It has been widely reported that Cristobal would be interested in returning to the state of Florida, more specifically Miami. With the Hurricanes struggling this season, it has become more likely that they would move on from Diaz. Cristobal has immense ties to the area, as he started his coaching career as a graduate assistant to Butch Davis in 1998 and coached for the Hurricanes from 1998-2000 and again from 2004-2006. After his time at Miami, he coached across town for Florida International from 2007-2012. With his success on the field and in recruiting at Oregon, Cristobal could be just what they need in Coral Gables to turn things around.
