According to the latest oddsmakers, the Kings are favored at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -5 points against the 76ers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 218.5 points. The public betting currently has 57 percent going on the Kings as the home favorite. Philly continues to fall on the road

Philadelphia began a West Coast road trip this weekend and it has suffered losses to the Clippers and Lakers thus far. The 76ers are 37-25 on the season, 9-23 on the road, 26-32-4 against the spread and 31-30-1 with the over.

The 76ers are putting up 109 points per game on offense while shooting 46.4 percent from the field. Defensively, Philly allows just 107.2 points per game while holding opponents to 46 percent shooting. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons remain out with injuries. The two combine for over 40 points, 19 rebounds and 11 assists per game. Tobias Harris is adding 19.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

Kings heating up

Sacramento surprisingly finds itself as one of the hotter teams in the league right now. The Kings have won three straight and six of their last seven after a 133-126 win at home over the Wizards on Tuesday. Sacramento is also 6-1 against the spread during this run. The Kings are now 27-34 on the season, 14-15 at home, 32-28-1 against the spread and 31-30 with the over.

The Kings are putting up 108.7 points per game on offense this season while shooting 45.8 percent as a team. Defensively, Sacramento is giving up 110.6 points per game while opponents shoot 46.7 percent against them. De’Aaron Fox is leading the Kings with 20.4 points and 6.7 assists per game. Buddy Hield is adding 19.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

The 76ers are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog and 5-20-1 ATS in their last 26 road games.

The Kings are just 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 games as a favorite, but 5-1 ATS in their last six home games.

Philly won the meeting at home with Sacramento back on Nov. 27. The 76ers have been a mess on the road all season and are without their top two players tonight. While they were somewhat competitive with the Clippers and Lakers, I just can’t trust them to cover on the road. Their record against the betting window is awful. The Kings are heating up and have had some nice wins over the Clippers and Grizzlies as of late. I think they have the scoring depth to put another sizable road loss on Philly’s record.

NBA Prediction: Sacramento Kings -5
