Boston Celtics DFS Spin

Jayson Tatum accumulated 26 points (9-of-19 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in Monday's 113-98 loss to the Magic, playing 38 minutes. Tatum was back in the lineup after missing Saturday's loss to the Raptors, and his three-game run of 33 points or more ended in Orlando. What didn't help matters was a trip to the locker room during the third quarter, which is when the game shifted in Orlando's favor. And the Magic have been the team that's given the Celtics trouble defensively, as Orlando is responsible for two of the three games in which Boston has failed to score 100 points. Tatum remains a 1st-round player in 9-cat formats, and that's with a nagging right wrist issue. He disclosed before the game that he may have to undergo surgery this offseason, but he doesn't expect to miss any time during the season. Hopefully, the wrist doesn't become problematic to the point where Tatum has to sit.

Butler's scoring output was modest Sunday afternoon, but he wreaked havoc defensively to the tune of five steals. He finished the game one shy of his season-high in that category, with his most recent six-steal performance coming in a December 28 win over the Lakers. Butler's providing 1st-round value in 9-cat formats, rewarding managers who stuck with him through the injuries that sidelined him for 12 of Miami's 24 games from November 16 to January 2. The Heat play three games in Week 15, beginning Tuesday night against the Celtics.
