Arnold Palmer Invitational Picks

Arnold Palmer Invitational, 3/4/20 Golf Predictions & Odds

A solid field heads to Orlando this weekend for the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Here’s three golfers we like to contend for the victory.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Rory McIlroy is the favorite this week, as he is listed with 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Tommy Fleetwood (14/1), Bryson DeChambeau (16/1) and Hideki Matsuyama (18/1). The 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational takes place Thursday-Sunday from Bay Hill in Orlando, Florida.

Bet on The Honda Classic

1000 Rory McIlroy 5/1

The odds aren’t terribly fruitful for McIlroy, but it’s hard to ignore a guy that is playing as well as he is right now. McIlroy has finished in the top five in six straight events, which is pretty unheard of. He also has been in the top 10 in nine of his last 10 tournaments, which includes two wins. McIlroy also has a good history at this tournament, as he was the 2018 champion by three strokes. He also was sixth a year ago.

1008 Patrick Reed 25/1

Reed is the villain of the tour right now, but he seems to not be letting that bother him. He has been somewhat hit-and-miss over recent months, but his hits have been big ones. Over his last seven events, Reed has four finishes in the top six, but also has two missed cuts. He is coming off a win two weeks ago in the WGC-Mexico Championship and I think he can continue to play well this week. When locked in, Reed is always a top competitor. With everyone rooting against him, I think he is playing with a chip on his shoulder and should continue to contend this weekend.

1009 Jason Day 33/1

Day has some long odds this weekend, but there are some reasons to believe he can get his first win in a few years. Day missed the cut at the Genesis Invitational, but finished fourth at Pebble Beach prior to that. This is also a tournament that has been good to Day, as he claimed the 2016 championship. He was unable to play in the event last year, but coming back to Bay Hill this weekend should provide some comfort for him. As a longshot, I think Day brings some good betting value.
